I went up to Sawyer lake last weekend like I do every weekend. This time I finally managed to hook into some Smallmouth bass! There was also some largemouth action still to be had.
Bait Details: I caught this on the same type of blue lizard that I have been hammering the Largemouth with. I was twitching it along the rocky bottom when this guy decided to play.
Location Details: I stuck around the same area I have been at the past couple of weeks. The water is a little bit lower than normal. I have suspected for quite a while that there was Smallmouth here, but have not been able to prove it until now.
Bait Details: I caught this little guy on the same rig that I caught the Smallmouth on. A blue lizard texas rig.
Location Details: This Bass was caught a full cast directlyaway from shore. He looks like he got into a fight with another fish or almost became lunch for a bird (I have spotted a bald eagle in this area.)
