Pine Lake Description
Northwest of La Porte. Located off of Pine Lake Rd. Fair shoreline fishing. Pine Lake is the largest of the lakes and is readily observed from its eastern edge (along Pine Lake Avenue), and its south/southwestern edge (along Waverly Road). If one is considerate of private residences, the northwest and southwest areas of the lake can be more closely viewed via Island Drive, which leads out to a peninsula from the west along Houlton Road. Houlton Road is west of the lake between Waverly Road to the south and Pine Lake Road to the north. The lake is a hub for aquatic activities including boating, jet skiing, tubing, fishing and swimming. There is a public beach, and pontoon boats and houseboats are available for rent. With plentiful bass, crappie, northern pike, bluegill and catfish available for fishing.
