Out Fished By A 4 Year Old With A Spiderman Fishing Pole
This morning my 4 year old son and I picked up some Dunkies and headed down to the local pond (Mill Pond) for an hour.
I baited up his spiderman fishing pole, and put a 3" chigger craw on mine.
About a half hour later he found an orange pro senko in my tackle bag, and wanted to fish it. Not expecting him to catch anything, I just threaded it on the #4 bait hook already on his line, and left the #4 split shot on above it.
Low and behold I cast it out for him, and a fish hits it. I figured it must be a bluegill, but it's putting up quite a fight on the Spiderman fishing pole.
It was a nice Largemouth.
He was absolutely thrilled, and I was so happy too.
After we take a picture and release the fish, I re-rig his pole and try to duplicate this, but was unable to do so.
All in all, a great way to start the day with my son.
Nothing better than the time spent with your son fishing, I bet he is hooked for life, Nice catch!
Great Job future fish fanatic!
Awesome! He's hooked! Be ready to take him fishing every weekend until he learns about girls.
